Corps Consulaire Nederland (CCN) and Fédération Européenne des Corps Consulaires Honoraires (F.U.E.C.H.) invite you to a three day conference on: “Challenges for consuls in a changing Europe” @ Château St. Gerlach in Valkenburg. It is the aim to bring together Consuls and spouses/partners from all over Europe. You have a great chance to meet up with European colleagues that represent your sending state.

Prof. Dr. Matthieu Segers, 27 years after Maastricht Treaty, Professor of Contemporary European History and European Integration at Maastricht University and Dean of University College Maastricht. He has been a Fulbright-Schuman fellow at the Center for European Studies of Harvard University and Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Politics and IR at the University of Oxford.

17:00 - Arrival at government reception by governor/King’s Commissioner H.E. Mr Theo Bovens
            Guided tour on the Maastricht Treaty and drinks
18:00 - Departure to Château Neercanne
18:30 - Arrival at terrace garden Château Neercanne, aperitif, via terrace gardens to the caves
19:00 - Informal dinner in the caves of Neercanne

10:30 - Fort St. Pieter and visit to caves of St. Pietersberg and vault of the Night Watch
12:00 - Departure to hilly country
12:30 - Arrival @ farm (carréfarm Gulperberg). Buffet lunch Limburg style and
            performance of band. (in case of bad weather: Kasteel Vliek in
            Ulestraten)
14:30 - Departure by bus to Maastricht, free time, shopping/visit Maastricht
17:00 - Return by bus to Château St. Gerlach
17:30 - Arrival - time to prepare for the evening
19:00 - Organ concert in Baroque church, dress code: black tie
19:30 - Aperitif and gala dinner in Pavilion of St. Gerlach

The costs of participation for the three day conference.

  • Delegate EUR 500
    (including meeting rooms, all lunches, bus transportation, entertainment, drinks at governement, dinner Château Neercanne, Gala dinner Château St.Gerlach).
  • Partner/spouse EUR 400
    (including partner program, meeting rooms, all lunches, bus transportation, entertainment, drinks at governement, dinner Château Neercanne, Gala dinner Château St.Gerlach).

If your registration form and payment is received by February 28th, 2019 you can deduct EUR 50,-- (early bird registration)

In case you would like to register for one day the costs of participation for the Friday
are EUR 250 for the delegate and EUR 165 for the partner. For the Saturday the costs
are EUR 300 for the delegate and EUR 250 for the partner.
With a one day registration there is NO early bird discount!
